friends. hello again. and look at my hat. i love my hat. thank you to dear aunty ricci, uncle mal, and michelle for giving me this hat along with many adorable things on my birthday. thank you also to nona (noni) for giving me this polka dot t-shirt that is ever so spotty and cute. the jacket i got from this little shop in sydney. can’t remember the name, but like many things i own, i like it. the skirt is topshop, and i cut off some super thick stockings that i had to create these sock things. they work great because they’re tight and you can easily adjust the height. you could also be super cool like me, and let them sit at different heights for that i-don’t-care-what-i-look-like-but-i-do kind of look.
and so the main event. my electric blue metallic scrunchy type jimmy choo clutch. scored this baby in singapore with my family. it seemed the only shopping in singapore was designer, or really not designer. if you know what i mean. it was $1000 or $10. and i had no idea where to go in between. but fortunately many of these luxury brands, like mister choo, were having sales to reach the kind of people like myself. that save up much money to spend and then justify every expensive purchase with a. it being on sale (50% in this instance), and b. being so certain that you can’t buy anything like this in baby perth town. so this is how we have blue choo in my arms. i love him, and i think he makes a perfect addition to really any outfit. i’m confident you would agree.
jumper: Country Road
shirt: Dolce and Gabbana
necklace: Poppy Lissiman
these are a few photos from this restaurant we visited in sydney in surry hills. it was out of control cool. an awesome blend of modern and old-time art, and super eclectic style. i kiiind of feel that’s how my outfit it working also. with the plain cream knit, and the vintage-y lace blouse, then the old gold coloured coin necklace. it’s a cocktail of classic and groovy. and, like i do best, it’s short to the point that you almost question if i’m wearing pants. but i am. don’t worry. i’ve not yet left the house with no pants. mmm. always manage to bring it back to the length of my garments. which i essentially have full control over, as it’s me, conversing with myself here. and that’s where i have to tell myself to stop with the word vomit and move on to more relevant topics…
on that note. my jumper is country road, blouse is dolce and gabbana, and necklace is poppy lissiman. i actually bought it for maddy as a birthday present, but i think i secretly bought it for myself. the food here was delish. thanks dave for trying to capture the moment as i made no hesitation to get straight in to eating. rach and i also went to their sister type restaurant called manly wine, in manly. no surprises there. and once again we were swept in to a fantasy world of the past, present and future merged with good food and friendly people. so a great experience over all. one minor detail, however, managed to create a little paranoia for my friends and i, okay, well just me. there were stuffed peacocks on the roof with extravagant tails heading toward diner’s heads, and really, it was just. ugh. at one point i noticed the sly thing with it’s head turned in my exact direction. and that’s when i took deep breaths and told myself it was only fake, and that the chance of it coming alive and swooping by my ears was probably only like, 20%. so things got better. and we ate and were merry. the end.
jeans: Sass and Bide
boots: Glamour Puss
i’m alive. back from travels and back in to uni.
uni. i’m rather over it at this point, so just trying to kick myself and get over this mental block that is preventing me from seeing the end of the year, and rather pushing me in to next year already. so aim is to be really good. you know. try and be amazing so i finish the year feeling great. we’ll see how that works out. anyway. this post is more about this groovy outfit i wore one day in sydney. actually it’s a slight variation, as i did just put these clothes on to take the photo. something i seem to do too much…i wish i was a real blogger, and had a photographer boyfriend who was interested in what i’m doing and wanting to perfect their photography skills in helping me build a blogging fashion empire. unfortunately i have only my little sister who is too busy doing school work to take photos. in this case however, i had dave. thanks dave. he even edited them for me. what a guy. so these jeans are sass and bide. i like them a lot. probably one of the better things they’ve made lately. they have the tendency to create curves, which would be greatly handy if i needed it. they just assist in lifting my derriere higher. it’s great i think. also this knit jumper was from some little crazy store in manly and it was crazy. as if that wasn’t evident from the rib-cage-esque back. i’ll show some more photos. candid having fun photos. from the trip soon.
i promise one day i’ll get better at this. promise.
jacket: Amber and Thomas
jeans: Cheap Monday
boots: Sole Society
so i’m in sydney at the moment, and loving it. went to hillsong conference which was amazing and inspiring. and now living life up in manly. thought i’d show you this super duper jacket that i bought. it was about 75% off which made me that much more excited. never heard of the brand, amber and thomas, but it’s soft and groovy. and i like it. i’ll do a proper post when i can be bothered typing, but in the meantime enjoy these cutie photos that lovely dave took for me.
