hi peeps. so this weather has been really getting on my nerves. the whole double mindedness about being sunny then rainy is not cool. i need to know if i need to fake tan or not. otherwise i struggle when deciding what to wear and limiting myself to full length clothing only.not to mention squint in all the photos trying to shelter my eyeballs from the tiny drops. mm anyways. i find myself talking about the weather too much. more about the clothes.

this little bustier/corset/lace top thing i believe i told you about a while back. it’s from gorgeous vintage in inglewood, and the lady there made this in the 80’s. it was a zip up onsie with the legs cut off at the thigh. so she made it in to a top for me. jeans are claude maus. belt is vintage. boots are 2 bia vista. and are rather convincingly cowboy boots. i like them. a lot. ah so another thing to tell of. i have finally put a video on youtube. i thought about not showing my face, but my sister convinced me that would be more awkward. so please excuse my bizarre facial expressions. i’m just that in to the music that i don’t care what i look like… kidding. it just happens for some reason. so click here if you’d like to see me cover one of the world’s most covered songs. thanks.

Brooke Fraser just released her new album ‘flags’. Oh my, she’s just so wonderful. Her lyrics are so well put together and thoughtful. She has such a great sense of style to her work, and her albums are always so collaborative. You know you’re getting all of her hard work and a glimpse in to her not only as an artist but a person when you hear her sing. My current favourite song is ‘Who are we Fooling’ featuring Aqualung. It’s beautiful, have a listen here :)

an introduction to me

Ciao, I’m Dani

The journey of my life began on the 20th of April 1992, when a small white girl with a mass of dark hair was introduced to ‘life’ – we shook hands and he showed me around a place I would call home – Harvey. Small to say the least, and full of cattle, orange juice, and open paddocks in the South West region of Western Australia. From there at the age of 6 we moved up in the world and took a step closer to civilization and moved to Bunbury. Here life was full of singing, dancing, school, and ummm, well that’s about all there was to do there. Until finally my life (at age 13) found a new setting. A place with buildings higher than 15 stories, more TV channels, more clothing stores, a handsome boyfriend, a lovely church, a bigger house, and the place I now call home – Perth. So continue with me on this journey, as I realise that what I wear represents who I am. Follow me while I try on many outfits, some that suck, some that succeed, and attempt to create this phenomenon that is ‘style’, and my own one at that! Enjoy, it will be a pleasure sharing life with you,

God bless.
