liner and lips

sup ya’ll.

we all want to look a bit hollywood and glam sometimes (or in my case every second day), so here is a video demonstrating the way i do a liquid liner and red lip. pretty much it’s that classic fifties look. it always works. i will say though, that there are many different eye shapes in this world. some lids are more hooded than others, and some are more open with hardly any crease. so don’t be discouraged if you find this hard, or your liner doesn’t have the exact same finish as mine. i will share a little more indepth on eye shapes and liner that suits different eye shapes soon. in the meantime enjoy this video. hopefully it is helpful in creating that fifties pin-up, winged liner and red lip look! my fave!

rock and roll

So I’m currently supposed to be finishing my assignment. But I got highly inspired while researching – and not in the way that was helpful. In fact I have managed to get highly distracted… Good work Dan.

So while researching on rock artists from the 50’s and 60’s I’ve come across some gorgeous photos. It’s amazing how these photos were produced to raw. Today we do everything digital and then try to make it look grungy and cool with editing. Clearly they were cooler than us with their less advanced technology back then. mmm I remember making a new years resolution that I would take more black and white photos – told you I wouldn’t stick to it. But here are some for your viewing pleasure anyway. Maybe now I’ll be inspired to take some of my own…

Take me back to the fifties any day.

alannah hill

She is, safe to say, the pinacle of femininity. Alannah Hill sure knows how to rock the belted bows, floral chiffon, lace tights, and oversized jewelled headbands at the one time. I’ve never seen anything quite like it really. This season’s ad campaign is to die for also. So I thought I’d share with you. A few things are on my wishlist this Christmas. And the model happens to be a girl that my sister went to school with in Bunbury, which probably adds to my ever so high rating of these beautiful photos. Enjoy…

flying scotsman

Outfits,  Spring,  Summer

So approximately 100 years ago I went to the vintage markets in Leederville at the flying scotsman with Bella. I found this amazing black 80’s party dress, so here it is:

11 22 33 44

And paired with my knee high stockings are a wonderfully tall pair of Senso Diffusion heels

I’m not sure what great event I will wear this to, but it was fun enough just posing for the photos. And you should see it when you spin around :) So until next time friends. Ciao.
