dress: Mink Pink
singlet: Lucky 13
boots: Somewhere in Paris
ah the mullet dress. it’s a trend that’s gone mildly crazy. and i must say i do actually enjoy it. this is a minkpink dress. i just tied this ridiculous singlet top thing over it. the giraffe is hilarious i must say. i love it. it’s also from that lucky thirteen store in the city. i’d say it cost me $13. and the boots are the same ones i got from paris. now i’m not sure if you can see too well, but the rings i’m wearing i made from chains. literally unlinked and then relinked a few pieces of chain. thinking i might get some finer stuff and make a few little ones to bunch together. but it’s a super cute idea. (same idea as the chain necklace from 2 posts ago.) so i want to do something to my hair. coz it’s boring and the blondiness is making it a little drier than i prefer. i just don’t know what to do. i think you’ll find i’ll head back to my comfort zone and just darken/richen the whole thing. leave it long and brown. that’s what i do.
in other news i’m a little sad as i’m getting braces in a couple of weeks. the day after my 20th birthday to be precise. yet also happy as i’m off to sydney in june/july to attend hillsong, and hang with my great friends. one of which will be rachel, attending from ireland. woo. so look forward to actually buying some clothes and having some fun stuff to show you
So the other day I went to this new boutique near my house called Coco & Lola. I went there after lunch with my baby sister and my mamma. I have a post from that day, but I’m kind of busting to show you this new top that I got. It’s bec and bridge, and 30% off. Oh I love those two things in the same sentence. After church (and of course a little Japanese) Maddy and I drove around to find a beautiful spot to take a photo. And this house that was so close to the river on a quiet little street was so gorgeous. So that’s the spot. And yes, I wore this to church. Whoever said churchgoers wore high waisted skirts, lace up shoes, and fully buttoned blouses obviously haven’t been in a while. Besides, I’d happily wear that ensemble.
Talk to you a little more about the store next time, and show you purchases etc etc.
wearing: bec and bridge denim shirt. mink pink dress. and good ol havaiana thongs.
With love and exposed shoulders…
So, one Sunday afternoon after paying the movie theatre a visit to say goodbye to Shrek for the last time, we took a few snaps on the way home…
Mink Pink dress, Nudie jeans, Italian boots (can’t remember the darn name), Mecca ‘Celia’ nail enamel, Mimco pendant, and an assortment of random jewelery.
Firstly, this park in Subiaco has to be the sweetest. Oh how I love the leaves all yellow and floating around the sky with every slight wind. Not to mention the weather was beautiful. However, the clothes…
The off the shoulder dress (that I am wearing as a top) is a perfect idea for a casual and comfortable outfit. I am learning more and more to look for simple pieces with an interesting cut or embelishment to just make them a little ‘out of the ordinary’, because who wants to dress the same as everybody else….right?
Oh and I really do appreciate Mink Pink. Yes they may take designs from our big fashion mammas and create close to exact versions, but I have never seen a dress of theirs over $150 which makes me excited! Thank you Mink Pink for creating quality, affordable, grooving clothing. And thank you my darling little sister for taking the photos for me
Well friends, enjoy frolicking through fallen leaves and have a blessed day.
