t.shirt: some store on Haji Lane
i will assume given you’re on this site that you do enjoy the occasional fashion blog, and if you follow anyone like the blonde salad, jak and jil, tuula etc, you will notice quite a presence of givenchy’s rather confrontingly (not a real word) frightening prints, or kenzo’s colourful african take on the wild animal. or perhaps you’ve seen kanye or liv displaying their givenchy roar. well, i’m a fan of the trend. i sort of did it by accident, in which case i may at some stage actually delve a little deeper and get myself a shirt of the kind. but the truth is, until i start earning proper money i won’t be buying any proper clothing, and certainly not of the givenchy persuasion. but one day. yes. one day. i’m also attempting a trend that probably a year or so ago i would have confessed was a sin. double denim. but i actually sort of love it. i dono. maybe i didn’t nail it this time around, but i certainly tried. and i really need some new shoes. i mean how many times will i wear my converses. actually. probably forever. but i at least need another option. you see i was going shopping this day, and i am always stumped when it comes to footwear for shopping. it’s like you want to look good, but you also want to walk at a good enough pace and maintain balance. you know? so. first step. money. second step. shoes. i’d say life tends to run in somewhat of a similar order. perhaps add food and we have satisfaction.
so hello. i’m wearing a sequin covered jacket. in fact it’s probably more of a cardigan, in which case i think gives it credibility to be worn during the day time, right?

jacket: Miss Brown Vintage
top: Dolce & Gabbana
skirt: Topshop (i think this is it here)
boots: The label has worn off, but they’re from paris so they’re cool
necklace: Poppy Lissiman
i actually bought this for a beautiful friend’s 18th birthday, the theme was sequins. but i mean, really, how cool is it. this was from that vintage store i told you about last post. it was too expensive, but its shine sucked me in and i couldn’t resist. now, my apologies if my speech turns melancholy, or suddenly disinterested. i’m watching the machine gun preacher. probably not the best combination of multi tasking. anyway, this movie totally shows the heart of god and i love it. aaaaanyway. this top was another sweet sale item i got in singapore. i literally made a 1000 dollar saving. what the heck. the skirt i linked you to is the wrong colour i think, but the same skirt. and once again i’m wearing that coin necklace. i literally could wear it with everything. thank you poppy lissiman. my hair is getting longer you may have noticed. i’m actually glad about it. the last couple of weeks i’ve been missing my long hair. at current length however i’m diggin it. what do you think?
perhaps that can be a rhetorical question..
top: Gift from Asia
jacket: Another mysterious asian creation
wedges: Tony Bianco
clutch: Jimmy Choo
friends. hello again. and look at my hat. i love my hat. thank you to dear aunty ricci, uncle mal, and michelle for giving me this hat along with many adorable things on my birthday. thank you also to nona (noni) for giving me this polka dot t-shirt that is ever so spotty and cute. the jacket i got from this little shop in sydney. can’t remember the name, but like many things i own, i like it. the skirt is topshop, and i cut off some super thick stockings that i had to create these sock things. they work great because they’re tight and you can easily adjust the height. you could also be super cool like me, and let them sit at different heights for that i-don’t-care-what-i-look-like-but-i-do kind of look.
and so the main event. my electric blue metallic scrunchy type jimmy choo clutch. scored this baby in singapore with my family. it seemed the only shopping in singapore was designer, or really not designer. if you know what i mean. it was $1000 or $10. and i had no idea where to go in between. but fortunately many of these luxury brands, like mister choo, were having sales to reach the kind of people like myself. that save up much money to spend and then justify every expensive purchase with a. it being on sale (50% in this instance), and b. being so certain that you can’t buy anything like this in baby perth town. so this is how we have blue choo in my arms. i love him, and i think he makes a perfect addition to really any outfit. i’m confident you would agree.
wearing: vintage blouse. sportsgirl trousers. ysl belt. topshop shoes.
So this is the other blouse I got from fi & co. I really like it. Although because of the shape/pattern you actually have to be selective with how you wear it. I’ve found this boyish style to be the most successful so far. And keeping it ladylike with the ridiculously steep heels. Although they could be easily replaced with sandals or even little boat shoes (maybe that’s more of a hair down or messy bun thing too). But the pink lips are a must. It’s a mixture of two of the best lip colours invented – Funny Face by NARS and Myth by MAC. The weather has been a bit gloomy and cold lately, but it would seem the sun is starting to come out a little more. So yet again I shall prepare my skin (exfoliate and fake tan) so that I may bear them without causing too much eye damage to the unfortunate people passing my glowing skin. Oh I love summer. Those of you with naturally curly hair and fair skin will understand. I’m thinking I should finally put up those photos from France that I said I would. Mmm. We’ll see. Until then I look forward to my next post with hopefully a more sun-kissed-self.
